Fireworks Sales
The sale of
“Safe and Sane” fireworks shall commence not earlier than 12:00p.m., on June 28, 2008 and shall terminate at 6:00p.m. on July 6, 2008. The hours for sales at each stand shall be from 9:00a.m. to 10:00p.m.
THE DISCHARGE OF “SAFE AND SANE” FIREWORKS IS ONLY ALLOWED ON JULY 4th FROM 8 P.M. UNTIL MIDNIGHT!
A user permit is required and may be completed by the purchaser of the fireworks at the time of the sale (for those people that reside within the City of Fresno). No person under 18 years of age may sell or purchase fireworks or be inside a fireworks stand at any time. Proof of age must be shown at any time when requested by fire officials. Failure to produce valid picture identification upon request may result in fireworks sales permit revocation for the remainder of the daily sales period.
DISCHARGE AREAS:
Fireworks may be discharged in controlled safety zones only on the 4th of July. This includes parks (regional, neighborhood and pocket), school sites and flood control sites WITH THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNING BODY. Other supervised sites within neighborhoods include driveways and cul-de-sac locations that are at least 30 feet from any structure or vehicle. The use of fireworks may not impede the travel of any vehicle or pedestrian.
