LOCAL INCENTIVES
Municipal Restoration Zone
The Municipal Restoration Zone, or MRZ, allows Eligible New or Expanding Businesses within the zone
boundaries to obtain refunds of business license fees, reductions of building permit fees, and refunds of sales and/or property taxes.

STATE INCENTIVES
Enterprise ZoneBusinesses located within the Enterprise Zone - from large manufacturing companies to small neighborhood restaurants - can reduce their state income taxes by taking advantage of special California Enterprise Zone tax benefits.
FEDERAL INCENTIVES
Empowerment ZoneBusinesses in the Empowerment Zone are eligible for significant incentives, encouraging expansion. Residents living within the zone can benefit from job development and training programs, improving employability.
Foreign Trade ZoneA. U. S. Foreign Trade Zone is a designated area which, for Customs purposes, is considered outside the U. S. Nearly any imported merchandise can be brought into a Zone for almost any kind of manipulation, duty-free.
HUB ZoneThe Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) is administered by the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and was designed to stimulate economic development and create jobs in urban and rural communities by providing Federal contraction preferences to small businesses.
