Facts about Fresno's Service Center for Business Development
A City Committed to Development and Economic Vitality
The Service Center for Business Development
The Service Center for Business Development centralizes, on a daily basis, the key decision-makers you need to get your project done on time and on budget. Problem-solving, entitlement processing, proposal responses, project reviews, and sign-off functions are completed each...and every day!
This program integrates several key City department representatives at City Hall within the development process. Working as a team, and empowered with decision-making authority, they jointly review City development entitlements, for example, re-zonings, subdivisions, conditional use permits, and site plans. Representatives from Public Works (Traffic), Public Utilities, (Sewer, Water, and Solid Waste), Parks and Recreation, Police, and Fire Departments gather at the Service Center to assist you in the development process. The Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District also participates in the program.
The Service Center for Business Development was created to:
- Process development entitlements faster by reducing City department and other agencies review times from 10 days to 2 days - just 48 hours.
- Coordinate project responses more effectively.
- Make decisions uniformly and equitably on processing requirements and development conditions.
- Maintain a rapid response capability for all economic development proposals.
- Provide a reliable set time and location for developers, architects, and engineers to meet with representatives of various departments and outside agencies to exchange information, address concerns, or perform review and sign-off functions.
Service Center Location and Operating Hours
