Housing And Community Development Commission (HCDC)

MEETINGS : The second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 5:00 P.M., Fresno City Hall, Room 2165N (Conference Room A, 2nd Floor). Meeting location, date, and time are subject to change. Please Note: There is only one meeting held in November and one in December, on the second Wednesday of the month. Special meetings/hearings may be called accordingly.

The Commission is to be made up of seven commissioners who are appointed by the Mayor, with City Council approval. Commissioners must reside within the city limits of the City of Fresno. There are five commissioners at the present time.
Commissioners serve four-year terms. Upon term expiration, the commissioner may continue his/her term of office, with the Mayor’s approval, until such time as the member resigns or is replaced by the Mayor.
The Housing and Community Development Commission has the responsibilities as defined in the Community Development Law of the State of California, Section 3300 of the Health and Safety Code. The HCDC serves as an advisory function to the City Council on matters of community development, redevelopment, housing and economic development.
