Housing And Community Development Commission (HCDC)

TYPE : City Non-Charter Commission
MEETS : 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 5:00 P.M., Fresno City Hall, Room 2165N (Conference Room ‘A’, 2nd Floor). Meeting location, date, and time are subject to change.

APPOINTMENTS :
There are a total of seven commissioners appointed by the Mayor, with City Council approval. Commissioners must reside within the city limits of the City of Fresno.
FUNCTIONS :
The Housing and Community Development Commission (HCDC) has the responsibilities as defined in the Community Development Law of the State of California (Section 3300 of the Health and Safety Code). The HCDC serves as an advisory function to the City Council on matters of community development, redevelopment, housing, and economic development.

Commissioners serve four-year terms. Upon term expiration, the commissioner may continue his/her term of office, with the Mayor’s approval, until such time as the member resigns or is replaced by the Mayor.
