The Fresno Channel Unites Government and Education In Unique Community Collaboration

The Fresno Channel is a collaborative effort between the City of Fresno, Fresno County Office of Education, Fresno Unified School District, California State University, Fresno, State Center Community College District, Central Valley Higher Education Consortium, the County of Fresno, and Valley Public Television. Programming for the Fresno Channel is being provided by each of the partner agencies.

“This is about staying connected with the public. The more informed our citizens are, the more successful we are as a community,” says Mayor Alan Autry. Dr. Peter Mehas, Fresno County Superintendent of Schools states that, “While this is an important collaboration between public agencies, its true significance is the potential impact to reach students, parents, teachers, and our community like never before.”

The Fresno Channel broadcasts programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The channel is available to Comcast subscribers on channel 96.
