03/24/09  Perea Proposes New Solar Loan Program
Fresno, CA (March 24, 2009) During the March 24th, 2009 Council meeting Councilmember Henry T. Perea introduced an innovative new plan to finance solar energy systems for homeowners. The proposal, which passed unanimously, is based on similar plans in San Diego, Berkley and Palm Spring that allow for solar home improvement loans that can be repaid through property tax bills. >more

03/03/08  Perea Urges Opposition to Governor’s Budget Cuts
Fresno, CA (March 3, 2008) At the Tuesday March 4, 2008 Council meeting Councilmember Henry T. Perea will ask the City Council to publicly oppose budget cuts to law enforcement agencies propose by Governor Schwarzenegger. Fresno, CA (February 29, 2008) On Saturday, March 1st at 10:00AM Councilmember Henry T. Perea will speak at the opening ceremony for the newly improved Theodore Roosevelt Plaza. The Plaza consists of a group of business at the corner of Cedar and Tulare across from Roosevelt High School that have been repainted by students with school colors to show community pride and serve as an example of neighborhood improvement. >more

02/27/08  Perea To Testify Before California Air Resources Board
Fresno, CA (February 27, 2007) On Thursday, February 28th, Councilmember and San Joaquin Valley Air District Board member Henry T. Perea will travel to Sacramento to testify as to the need for more funding from Proposition 1B be spent to improve our air quality in the San Joaquin Valley. Proposition 1B was passed by California voters in 2006 and allocates $1 billion to help reduce air pollution. >more
