| Fresno, CA (September 14, 2010) On Thursday, September 16th, during the Council Comments portion of the City of Fresno Council meeting, Councilmember Perea will be asking the City of Fresno to work with the County of Fresno to establish a policy to regulate medical marijuana within the City and County of Fresno. Councilmember Perea’s request will come in support of an action unanimously passed today by the Fresno County Board of Supervisors. This action presents a 45 day moratorium on outdoor marijuana cultivation in the County (indoor legal growth would not be affected) in order to find solutions to several issues associated with medical marijuana. >more |

Perea and the AT&T Pioneers volunteer group will present a donation of 50 backpacks filled with school supplies. | Fresno, CA (June 2, 2010) On Friday, June 4, 2010 at 10AM at Helm and Mckenzie Councilmember Perea will be joined by Supervisor Henry R. Perea, City of Fresno Public Works, the office of Supervisor Debbie Poochigian, students from Kings Canyon Middle School and representatives from Burroughs Neighborhood Committee to cut the ribbon at the long awaited reopening of the Mckenzie trail. First constructed in the 1970’s on the old Clovis Branch Line right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Railroad, the trail provides bike and walk lanes from Willow to Clovis Avenue. >more |
