Perea Joins Latino Water Coalition to Discuss Drought Impact with State Latino Legislative Caucus

Fresno, CA (August 27, 2009) On Thursday August 27, 2009, Councilmember Henry T. Perea will travel to Sacramento with the Latino Water Coalition to present information at a 10:30 AM meeting regarding the importance of a comprehensive legislative packet to address current and future water concerns for our entire State. Councilmember Perea will join other elected officials, business people, farmers and farm workers as a representative from the Central Valley to stress the importance of a comprehensive legislative water policy.
“Here in the valley we deeply feel water shortages. I feel it’s important to make this trip to remind our legislature that this is not just about water, it’s also about keeping our economy strong.”
