Fresno, CA (July 30, 2009) At the Thursday, July 30th Council meeting Councilmember Henry T. Perea received unanimous support for his idea of expanding the 621-CITY call-in hotline to include a twitter application. Staff expects to return in 30 days with a plan that will allow Fresno residents to use their twitter accounts to send tweets (or messages) to the City of Fresno. This new application will provide another form of communication with the City and may help Fresno’s younger generation become more engaged in their municipal government.
