Perea Recommends New Budget Committee

Fresno, CA (September 25, 2006) During the upcoming Tuesday, September 26th, City Council meeting Acting Council President Henry T. Perea will be recommending the formation a new budget committee consisting of three Councilmembers. The new committee will work with City Administration to make recommendations for using a $10.7 million surplus in the city budget due to increased property taxes and State reimbursements. Councilmembers will be asked to submit priorities to the committee as this surplus presents a unique opportunity to better serve the City of Fresno.
