05/23/2006

Fresno, CA (May 23, 2006) On Tuesday, May 9th, Henry T. Perea was named as one of the recipients of a Fannie Mae Foundation Fellowship to attend the John F Kennedy School of Government. The fellowship will pay the full tuition cost for Councilmember Perea to attend this prestigious program. Councilmember Perea is extremely excited to have this opportunity to further his academic studies at such a historic university.

The John F. Kennedy School of Government "Senior Executives in State and Local Government" program is designed to address the increasingly limited resources and complex problems facing government executives today. The three week seminar will deal with such issues as conceptual frameworks for addressing policy issues, the relationship between citizens and their government, and the ethical and professional responsibilities of leadership. Previous graduates of the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program include such distinguished individuals as the Vice Chairperson for the D.C. Commission on Human Rights, the 2005 minority leader for the Missouri House of Representatives and the Director of the District of Columbia office of planning.
