Fresno, CA (March 8, 2006) Councilmember Henry T. Perea was officially confirmed as a member of the Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission today. Perea was appointed to POST by Governor Schwarzenegger in April of 2005, but had not been officially confirmed until this afternoon. The confirmation took place before the Senate Rules Committee in Sacramento. After introducing himself and speaking about the importance of law enforcement Perea was unanimously confirmed.
