Perea To Study At Harvard University

Fresno, CA (June 30th, 2006) On Friday, July 7th, Acting Council President Henry T. Perea will travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts to attend courses at the JFK School of Government on the Harvard University campus. Councilmember Perea will be part of a prestigious program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government.
The three week course is designed to challenge assumptions about leadership roles in the public sector. While attending Harvard Councilmember Perea will learn strategies for establishing meaningful and attainable organizational objectives, investigate the process of developing and evaluating policy alternatives, and examine options for organizing and deploying resources.
Councilmember Perea is looking forward to this chance to further his education on the Harvard University campus and is enthusiastic about putting this knowledge to practical use in District 7
