Fresno, CA (April 21, 2006) On Friday, April 21st, Acting Council President Henry T. Perea launched the District 7 Neighborhood Blog. The blog can be linked through the District 7 website and residents can use the new tool to post neighborhood news and voice their opinions about various topics.

The idea for a district 7 web blog came to Acting Council President Perea during a neighborhood meeting. "People were asking for a better way to communicate with their neighbors. A resident in the neighborhood had been robbed and he wanted a way to make his neighbors aware. I thought he made an excellent point that people should have an easy way to communicate with each other. Good relationships among residents are one of the keys to a safe and healthy neighborhood. I think a web blog like this will help people look out for each other and their neighborhood."
