Perea Boards Inaugural Flight

Fresno, CA (April 2, 2006) On Sunday, April 2, Henry T. Perea will board the first international flight leaving Fresno Yosemite International Airport. Councilmember Perea will show his support for the future of Fresno as an internationally recognized city by being a passenger on Mexicana’s inaugural flight to Mexico.

The historic flight will leave Fresno and arrive in Guadaljara on Sunday. Once in Guadalajara Councilmember Perea will take a tour of both Guadalajara and Tlaqupaque before returning home. The flight and trip are important steps toward Fresno becoming an international city of commerce, art, and technology. Councilmember Perea is excited to be participating in this historic moment.
