Council President Larry Westerlund and Senator Jeff Denham to Hold a Press Conference Honoring “Gold Star” Families

FRESNO – Council President Larry Westerlund and Senator Jeff Denham to hold a press conference to honor “Gold Star” Families and announce the introduction of legislation regarding the “Gold Star” License Plate Program on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in front of the City Hall Council Chambers on the 2nd Floor, 2600 Fresno Street.

Please join Councilmember Larry Westerlund and Senator Jeff Denham in honoring the valley’s “Gold Star” Families and announcing the introduction of legislation asking the Council to amend the municipal code to allow “Gold Star” family members displaying the California State “Gold Star” license plates to park for free at any City of Fresno controlled parking spaces. This is just a small token of our appreciation in what their family has sacrificed for our country.
