On Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 5-6:30 PM, Councilmember Larry Westerlund will participate in the ribbon-cutting and a special musical program and artwork at the grand opening ceremony for the Academy of Classical Music and Art, at 2051 E. Shaw Ave. in Fresno.

The ACMA began providing music and art lessons in Fresno in February 2007. Due to the success and leadership of world-renowned pianists Gianeh and Ovanes Arakelyan, ACMA has outgrown the former building and moved to a larger location on Shaw Ave.
