Skateboard Lovers in Fresno Have New Place to Skate

KFSN) -- The City Parks and Recreation Department cut the ribbon Monday afternoon on a brand new modular skate park. It's located at the Melody Neighborhood Center, at 5935 East Shields in East Central Fresno.
A new computer homework lab was also unveiled. Fresno City Council Member Larry Westerlund said he was quite pleased with how the new park turned out.
After the ribbon-cutting, local skaters held a skating competition in the park.
With this site opening, the Fresno Connect Program now has 8 homework labs, 6 full service labs and 2 mobile labs serving residents throughout Fresno.
