- Redevelopment Agency Chair for 2006 and 2007.
- Raised over $55,000 for Food for the Holidays drive, which purchased 4,000 turkeys that fed over 49,000 individuals in the City of Fresno during the 2006 holiday season.
- Co-Chair for the Mayor’s 10x10 Affordable Housing Blue Ribbon Committee. This committee is working on obtaining 10,000 new, safe, accessible, and affordable homeowner and rental units in world class designed, master planned growth areas and revitalized apartment and urban neighborhood developments, in approved master plans, permitted, under construction, or completed by the end 2010.
- Close to 3,000 homes in pipeline to be built in the district.
- Member of the Joint Mayor/ Council Economic Development Task Force.
- Member of the Fresno/ Madera Area on Aging Board of Directors
- Member of the Highway 99 Beautification Committee
- Voted Best Elected (Female) by Fresno Magazine 2005 & 2006
- Working closely with Bringing Broken Neighborhoods Back to Life committee to ensure residents in the District are provided positive outlets to empower the community.
- Renamed the area known as the Dog Pound to Brookhaven, reflecting the wishes of the community after a block party with Bringing Broken Neighborhood Back to Life.
