Councilman Steve Brandau was born and raised just outside of Fresno, in the small town of Selma, known as the Raisin Capital of the world. Steve and his family moved to Fresno after he graduated from Selma High School. He then attended Fresno State earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Shortly after, Steve started a carpet cleaning business, Blue Ribbon Carpet Care, which he has successfully run for 19 years. He was sworn into office in January of 2013 and was elected Council President in January of 2014.
