Fresno Yosemite International Airport Reduces Parking Rates for the Holidays

Fresno Yosemite International Airport shares the spirit of the season by offering reduced parking rates in the long-term lot throughout the holidays. Passengers and guests making brief visits to the Airport will benefit from the lowered rates, allowing the convenient hourly pay option at every parking stall at the airport.
As an alternative to the flat $8.00 rate in the long-term lot, motorists will receive the short-term lot rate of $6.00 for the first two hours. The rate is assessed at the hourly cost of $1.00 for each 20 minutes. After two hours, the rate will revert to the flat $8.00 per day fee. The special rate begins at midnight Wednesday, November 23, 2011 through Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 11:59 pm.
Hourly parking rates in the short-term lot will remain at $1.00 for each 20 minutes up to a maximum of $12.00 per day.
“Passenger traffic at Fresno Yosemite is expected to be at record levels this holiday season thereby increasing the number of visitors to the terminal,” stated Russell C. Widmar, Director of Aviation. “By offering the reduced rate, individuals meeting or dropping off passengers or those visiting to enjoy the Christmas tree display have more parking options specifically tailored for brief trips to the terminal.”
The free Cell Phone Waiting Area is available to motorists picking up passengers in front of the terminal. Located off of the entrance road, the convenient waiting area provides a space for motorists to park until their party arrives at the terminal curb. Motorists must remain with their vehicles while parked in the Cell Phone area.
Nine carriers currently offer Valley passengers approximately 40 daily departures from Fresno. Fresno Yosemite International Airport is an industry leader in terms of cost containment to its partner airlines. Fresno Yosemite is a municipally owned entity operating as a self-supporting enterprise. No City of Fresno general funds are used to operate Fresno Yosemite International or Fresno Chandler Executive Airport.
