Beginning Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., the Fresno Yosemite International Airport concourse area will undergo an electrical equipment upgrade. The upgrade will complement the Airport’s “green mindset” by replacing existing outdated electrical equipment with new energy efficient components.

While the electrical upgrade is in process, the concourse area will temporarily operate on a back-up power system beginning Thursday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. to approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13. No negative effects to flight arrivals, departures or to airline operations are expected during this planned upgrade as back-up power generation will be initiated.

Eight carriers currently offer Valley passengers approximately 41 daily departures from Fresno. FYI is a municipally owned entity operating as a self-supporting enterprise. No City of Fresno general funds are used to operate Fresno Yosemite International or Fresno Chandler Executive Airport.
