FYI Ranked As Top Performer

Fresno Yosemite International Airport has earned the Number One ranking out of the top 100 U.S. airports including airports for on-time flight performance for the month of April.
According to the information released by the Department of Transportation Air Travel Report for April, FYI experienced a 91.7% on-time departure rate for domestic flights. This on-time departure percentage advances FYI from their previous 2nd place ranking in March to the number one position. FYI’s on-time arrival performance received a 2nd place rating in the report. The April report is based on data collected by the Department’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics.
Airports Aviation Director, Russ Widmar stated, “We’re pleased that passengers receive on-time air service at FYI. Fresno is fortunate to have minimal airspace and air traffic congestion which allows for timely landings and take-offs.”
The report also included rankings for LAX, San Francisco International Airport and Sacramento International Airport respectfully:

Nine carriers currently offer Valley passengers approximately 50 daily domestic and international departures from Fresno. FYI is a municipally owned entity operating as a self-supporting enterprise. No City of Fresno general funds are used to operate Fresno Yosemite International or Fresno Chandler Executive Airport.
