04/06/07  City Continues As Environmental Leader
On Tuesday, April 10, 2007, the Fresno City Council will consider a large solar power generating project planned for Fresno Yosemite International Airport. The solar project will cover approximately 25 acres and is just one of the City’s latest initiatives as an environmental leader to improve sustainability and energy efficiency. 04/06/07  FYI Deploys State-of-the-Art Airport Rescue Protection
On Friday, April 6 at 10:00 am at the Airport Cargo Ramp; Fresno Yosemite International Airport will unveil its latest addition of Airport Rescue protection – the Oshkosh Striker 3000 ARFF vehicle. The Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle allows FYI to respond to airfield emergencies with state-of-the-art aircraft firefighting equipment and technology. The ARFF vehicle is capable of accelerating up to 50 mph, which deems its performance comparable to the “Porsche “of fire vehicles. >more

Beginning today, ExpressJet Airlines starts ticket sales from Fresno Yosemite International Airport for non-stop service to: LA/Ontario and San Diego. “We're pleased to welcome ExpressJet, one of the nation’s largest regional airlines, and one of Fortune Magazine’s Most Admired Airlines in 2005 and 2006, to Fresno Yosemite International Airport. Not only will ExpressJet offer travelers to and from Fresno the only non-stop flights to Los Angeles/Ontario and San Diego, but it will also fly a young fleet of aircraft with upgraded services,” Russell C. >more
