Mexicana Airlines Announces Daily Service
11/30/2007

Fresno , CA – Mexicana Airlines will once again increase flight frequency from 5 flights per week to daily service to accommodate the busy winter travel season. The convenience of daily service from Fresno to Guadalajara, Mexico will provide business and leisure travelers with needed seat capacity for 60 days. Daily operations are scheduled to begin December 1, 2007 and will continue through January 31, 2008.

“Mexicana’s enthusiasm to serve business and leisure travelers in the surrounding region with daily service aligns with our continued goal to provide the best possible customer service and transportation access for the Central Valley,” said Mayor Alan Autry.

“Mexicana Airlines is committed to providing convenient air service to the Fresno region,” said Jorge Goytortua, Regional V.P. Sales for the West Coast. He also stated, “We are thrilled that this daily service will help meet the travel needs of the community just in time to celebrate and visit family and friends during the holiday season.”

Since international service began in March 2006, more than 73,000 people have flown Mexicana through Fresno Yosemite International Airport. During that time, Mexicana has upgraded the aircraft from the inaugural 100-seat Airbus 318, to the 120-seat Airbus 319, and to the currently operated 150-seat Airbus 320.

Travel arrangements through Mexicana can be made at the new sales office conveniently located at 3071 W. Shaw Avenue, Suite 106 or by calling 1-800-531-9373, or at www.mexicana.com.

Mexicana de Aviación began its operations 86 years ago and is the airline with the fourth longest tradition in the world. Currently, it is the airline with the most extensive international coverage from Mexico and the leading transportation company between Mexico and the United States. From its operation hub in Mexico City International Airport, Mexicana flies to approximately 50 destinations in North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean.

Nine carriers currently offer Valley passengers 53 daily departures from Fresno. FYI is a municipally owned entity operating as a self-supporting enterprise. No City of Fresno general funds are used to operate Fresno Yosemite International or Fresno Chandler Executive Airport.
