Scott Aircraft Open House and Mustang Jet Preview at FYI
12/06/2006

On Thursday, December 7, 2006, Scott Aircraft, Inc. will host an open house to introduce the most recent aircraft addition to Scott Aircraft’s flight training fleet, the impressive Citation Mustang business jet. The event will held from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Scott Aircraft located at 4995 E. Andersen Avenue.

On November 22, Mustang Management Group, LLC took delivery of the first Citation Mustang business jet released from Cessna Aircraft Company. “We are very proud to be the owners of the first Mustang, the latest iteration of the most successful line of business jets in the world,” said Kent Scott, President of MMG and Scott Aircraft. The Mustang will be leased back to Cessna for ten months to be used as a demonstrator, and then returned to Scott Aircraft for training new pilots. The jet’s sophisticated avionics and engine systems will provide new pilots with state-of-the-art aviation training.

Scott Aircraft plans to develop aviation facilities at Fresno Yosemite and Chandler Executive Airports to serve general aviation and the rapidly growing executive jet business. Scott’s initial $6 million investment at Fresno Yosemite will expand the company’s existing facility by replacing its current 12,000 square foot hangar with a 40,000 square foot hangar that will accommodate a dozen or more corporate jets. The new upscale facility at Fresno Yosemite will include a career path flight training academy, fuel and maintenance services, and aircraft sales.

Ten carriers currently offer Valley passengers 50 daily departures from Fresno. FYI is a municipally owned entity operating as a self-supporting enterprise. No City of Fresno general funds are used to operate Fresno Yosemite International or Fresno Chandler Executive Airport.
