Chandler Executive Airport Welcomes Mak’s Landing Restaurant

On Monday, December 18, Fresno Chandler Executive Airport will welcome downtown Fresno’s newest dining establishment, Mak’s Landing.
Kerry Hedberg and Marc Balucas are the principals. Balucas is a Certified Executive Chef with twenty-seven years culinary experience including high end catering. He is a member of The American Culinary Federation and The World Chef’s Societies. For several years he was the Executive Chef/General Manager of JJ’s Restaurant, a former fine dining Fresno landmark along with his father Ernie Balucas. Hedberg was born into a family marketing seafood from California’s coastal fishing industry and they continue marketing in the Central Valley. Currently the couple is providing catering services, particularly in support of fundraising activities. That catering will now be based in Mak’s Landing’s upgraded kitchen, which will allow their community services to expand.
Balucas and Hedberg envision a “great food – good people” atmosphere for Mak’s Landing, with a breakfast and lunch menu featuring meals prepared from scratch sauces and dressings too -- and daily specials. The hours are 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Saturday (closed Sundays).
Mak’s Landing is located in the historic Passenger Terminal at Chandler, overlooking the runway, with plenty of free parking for both cars and visiting aircraft. This art deco gem is very conveniently located less than two miles from downtown.
