LoJack is a stolen vehicle recovery system that uses radio frequency technology. It operates through a public-private cooperative relationship between LoJack and public law enforcement agencies to effectively combat vehicle theft. LoJack operates on a special radio frequency specifically allocated by the FCC exclusively for stolen vehicle recovery.

The LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System consists of a small, silent transmitter hidden within the consumer's vehicle. When police enter a stolen vehicle in the state crime computer database, the LoJack transmitter is activated. The transmitter in the consumer's vehicle begins to send a signal that police can track using LoJack Police Tracking Computers. LoJack Police Tracking Computers are currently in operation in approximately 10% of the Fresno Police Departments patrol vehicles, as well as in the Skywatch Helicopter.

Additional information concerning the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System can be obtained by calling 800-698-8023, or by visiting the LoJack website at www.lojack.com.
