Christmas Parade Steps Off Saturday Morning
Mayor Ashley Swearengin will serve as Grand Marshal for the 81st Annual Fresno Christmas Parade on Saturday morning, leading more than 65 organizations, bands, clubs and individual entries through the streets of downtown Fresno.
The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. in front of Chukchansi stadium and will follow a one-mile route to City Hall, which is adorned again this year with a decorated 71 foot Christmas tree. Free parking is available and spectators are encouraged to arrive early to claim the best views.
“The Christmas parade is a very popular tradition in our City and the level of community support is tremendous. I’m looking forward to another great turnout for this wonderful holiday event,” Mayor Swearengin said.
This year’s entries include 6 marching bands, the Fresno Grizzlies and Fresno Monsters mascots, car clubs, churches, dance groups and schools, among many others. The parade will be broadcast live on KSEE24 with a repeat airing scheduled on Christmas Day at 10 a.m.
