Natural Gas Leak

FRESNO, CA (October 21, 2004) On Wednesday evening, October 20, 2004, at the City of Fresno's Municipal Service Center, the liquid natural gas fueling station began emitting vapors during the fueling of a refuse collection truck.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Fresno Fire Department closed off the area and began monitoring the area.

As of Thursday morning, the area remains closed and will continue to be closed until the Fire Department gives an "all clear" announcement, expected later today.

There have been no injuries or property damage, but some City services will be affected today. We appreciate the public's patience for any delays in service.
