05/22/14  City of Fresno to Hold Waste Tire Amnesty Event This Weekend
FRESNO -- The City of Fresno Community Revitalization Division, using grant funding available from CalRecycle, will hold a Waste Tire Amnesty Day event on Saturday to allow City of Fresno citizens dispose of their unwanted waste tires. Some event restrictions include: Participants must be City of Fresno residents, no tractor or diesel tires, no business-generated tires, and each resident is limited to (9) tires per vehicle. 05/21/14  City of Fresno Announces New Director of Transportation
FRESNO, CA – Mayor Ashley Swearengin and City Manager Bruce Rudd today announced that Brian Marshall has been named the City of Fresno’s new Director of Transportation, effective June 2, 2014. “Brian Marshall brings a broad range of experience in managing public transportation systems,” City Manager Bruce Rudd said. “I feel confident in his ability to enhance current passenger services and lead the City’s efforts to improve the quality and convenience of the public transportation services through investments such as Bus Rapid Transit. >more
