09/02/15  City of Fresno Drops 28% in August Water Consumption
FRESNO, CA – The City of Fresno’s Department of Public Utilities (DPU) today officially reported water production totals for August 2015, showing a 28% drop in usage from the same month in 2013. This follows a reduction in water consumption of 31% for the month of July 2015 and 30% for the month of June of this year compared to the same months in 2013.While the August total just met the state-mandated goal of 28% reduction, the continued overall decline in water usage for the months of June, July, and August stands at 29.6%, which is above the cutbacks in water use set by the State Water Resources Control Board earlier this year >more
