The focus of the Business Matchmaking event is to match large private companies and government buyers with locally owned, minority-owned, woman-owned, and disabled veteran-owned businesses that are limited in their ability to gain exposure to contracts.
In 2008 alone, results from an on-the-spot survey of a sampling of buyers revealed that seven large organizations estimated that they would negotiate over $4.1 million dollars worth of contracts with 48-66 local businesses this year. These contracts kept dollars in the valley and have helped our local businesses stay in our region and create jobs as they grow and expand.
